It's the news I didn't even dare to dream about... NBC has renewed Friday Night Lights, and not just for one season, but TWO!!! Apparently the love is huge for this struggling show at NBC, and despite low ratings, the suits love it too much to let it go. Score one for NBC (take THAT, Fox!) Just like this year, the season will run on DirecTV in the fall, followed by the spring run of the same episodes on NBC. If you're watching the current season, I hope you're loving it as much as I loved it when I watched it in the fall. Season 3 was the best one yet, and it can only get better. I am SO HAPPY. And in the meantime, you can go watch Tim Riggins shake his stick as Gambit in the new Wolverine movie. Oh yeah, baby. :)

NBC likes the cheque they get from DirecTV and both like the wealthy demographic the show draws. Commodity aestheticism at work?
Great show, imo. One of the best on US TV.
