Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there. And now, my favourite father/son clip of the year:

  1. Yes, I was so glad to see the resolution of Jack and Christian. I'm sure everyone has someone that they are waiting for heaven to say your sorry...

  2. Yep - I was glad to re-view those final scenes, and I cried yet again ! Heck, I cried at Michael and Vincent's reunion in
    Season 2 !!

Just shows you how powerful the LOST team can execute a story .....

Oh yeah, slightly off-topic here, but Nikki, please, and only if you get time, coz we know yer flat out like a lizard drinkin' - but could you keep posting blogs on FRINGE ?

  3. @Dougie - haha, I just finished re-watching season 2, so those are top of mind!

Thanks Nikki - this is a beautiful scene. Especially considering the last conversation they had.

  4. I've seen that part 6 times now, and it still gets me going every time. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch that episode without a box of Kleenex next to me.

    Happy Father's day!

@Gilian I so agree. Just watching this again gets to me once again. Such a beautiful way to end, sad and yet happy also.

K ... got to go get more tissues.

    So sad & beautiful!
Oh, by the way, speaking of tear-jerkers, go see Toy Story 3! You shan't regret it!

  7. Question Mark: I am DYING to see Toy Story! The only thing is, I'd love to take my 5-year-old... she's seen Shrek, the other Toy Storys, Monsters Inc, etc. Do you think Toy Story 3 was similar to those or was it a little more adult than the other ones? I'm trying to figure out if I should vet it before taking her...

  8. It's Father's Day in your country? Wow. It's nice to learn about the cultures and mysterious ways and mysteries of other cultures and... mysteries. In Australia, Father's Day is on the first (or is it second?) Sunday of September. Learning is awesome!

    Happy Father's Day, fathers!

  9. If she's seen Shrek, no need to vet Toy Story 3 first. Great movie, but yes, bring kleenex! A couple semi-scary places, but nothing too bad.

  10. Nikki-
Just LOVE your blog. Sad that LOST is gone, but I'm glad I was able to find some good places to "hang out" with other people as obsessed as I.

As for Toy Story 3, I took my 5 year old on Saturday and she LOVED it. Was a little scary in one or two parts, but overall a great movie for kids and adults. Just bring tissues and your willingness to cry noisily is front of others.
