Lost, Ep 22: The Newspaper Obituary
Here's a screen cap of the newspaper obit that Jack was holding. It's the clearest image I could find:

Here's what I can make out:

Man Found Dead in Downtown Loft
The body of Jo.... antham of
New York was... shortly after 4
a.m. in the ... of Grand
Avenue.
Ted... doorman at The
Tower... heard loud
noises... 's loft.
Coo.... [Concerned?]
....discovered the
... [hanging?] from a beam in the
...
...cord.....
[rest is unreadable]

It appears to be a suicide, and by a Jo (John?) anthem (Lantham?) Maybe Locke changes his name? Maybe Locke changes his name on the island, then Sawyer takes that name and lives under the alias in LA. ;) Or maybe it's someone completely new.
Go here to see the full-screen crisp version, since I know this will shrink on my site when I publish it.

It's amazing how many suicide mentions/plot points there have been in the past few episodes: Jack, Locke, Charlie (suicide mission to the Looking Glass), Sawyer and Juliet (going back to the beach unarmed), this obit guy, Mikhail (if in fact he does die by grenade)....

What about the "he" Kate refers to when she's talking to Jack!

Here's my dream scenario:
They all eventually get off the island. Jack and Kate make a go of it, but have to break up because he can't handle her carrying Sawyer's kid.

Meanwhile, once Hurley's declared dead, mom and dad split the money and blow a good chunk of it. However, they too succumb to the curse. When Hurley comes back, he reclaims the money.

The nice guy he is, he decides that the curse will be broken when it's given to someone innocent -- Kate's baby. So, he marries her and they all live happily ever after (explaining Kate's car).

Listen, I just want poor Hurley to get some lovin' is that so wrong? Maybe he can bring Claire into the fold with Aaron! (as long as she dies her hair black again, rwowrr!)

Heck, we can do away with Jin and have Sun move in too!

In the end, we'll find out who's in the casket -- but the biggest question on the island is... when is Hurley going to get some love??????

"The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue. Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft. Concerned for tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room. According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Latham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son. Memorial services will be held at the Hoffs-Drawlar Funeral Home tomorrow evening."

OMG!!! I just read this on Pink is the New Blog of all places... Hoffs-Drawlar is an ANAGRAM for Flash Forward!!!

Also, he totally got the Motorola KRZR reference too. I wonder what other little hints they threw into those scenes to make extra-attentive viewers guess it was a future scene?

Mind-blowing.

Chapatikid: I saw the Hoffs-Drawlar reference this morning and LOVED it. I love the hidden anagrams throughout the show. :)

For me, it was simply the beard. I can't think of a time in his life when he would have had time to grow one and become SO wasted. I was thinking throughout the ep that it was the future, and was so excited when it actually was. :)

That concerns me, fb, because Jeremy Bentham is a Doctor Who expert, and rather a nice man.

I guess that's another JB.

Could the "he" Kate is referring to be the husband she ran away from?

Tanyam: That's definitely one of the possibilities that I suggested in my post. The main people could be Sawyer or Kevin, I think.

Hi Nikki,

Oops! sorry I repeated your theory, I only had a few moments to read all the blogs on a friend's computer. I obviously missed alot. Clearly I agree with you :)
