Angel has all the seeds for what will be happening in this season and part of next, and Buffy has pretty much done the same thing. "Tabula Rasa" is one of those episodes that will have far-reaching consequences, especially for season 6.

Whoops, almost forgot the spoiler forum. This is where you can talk openly about Buffy and Angel without fear of spoilage.

We're seeing the beginnings of Dark Willow in these episodes, for sure. For me, her being the Big Bad (if that's how you see it, and I've seen many interpretations of the season) is SO dark the Troika were almost necessary to keep from the season being dragged down into some depressive place.

But I'm still not a fan of how they'll treat it as a drug addiction.

Once again, here is the place where you can chat openly about Buffy and Angel episodes without fear of spoiling anyone. The thing that stuck out for me the most in these episodes is the fact that once again, Willow is called upon again and again to step up and use her magic to protect everyone. Buffy says to Willow that's she's the most powerful one of the group and her magic will help save them (something that will be echoed in the series finale) but notice how many times they ask her to use that magic to help them out, and yet when Willow becomes addicted to it in the rather ham-fisted season 6 metaphor coming up, they'll all blame her and tell her to be magicks-free. While I agree things get out of control (raising the dead? After what happened in Forever?) I've always felt bad for Willow that the Scoobs helped set her up to become addicted, but turn on her when it happens.

And here is your place to talk about this week's episodes spoiler-free. It was harder this week than ever to avoid being spoilery, but there were so many things I wanted to mention. Can't wait for people to get to next week's Angel eps now that they've seen the first of the bunch, and I somehow avoided saying that BUFFY'S death is the gift. Urgh...
