"Arthur Fonzarelli's Got an Army of Clones..."

Big thanks to Katey for this one! (I'm postdating this one to go live at 09/09/09, 0900. Creepy!) There's another literal video out there, and while it's not done by the same folks who did "Take On Me" and "Head Over Heels," it's possible this is even funnier. For anyone who hasn't seen the earlier ones (follow those links NOW if you haven't!) various people are taking a literal look at the crazytown videos from the 80s that seemed really cool at the time, but when you try to narrate what's happening on screen, you realize that everyone involved in the shoot must have been high. The latest victim? Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart," which I think was actually the first real music video I'd ever seen. At the time I was probably 9 and thought it was wicked cool. Now watch as someone narrates it literally. HILARIOUS!

Oh my, this is definitely the best literal video I've seen so far! Been luaghing out loud all the way through it XD
(word verification is "clownh" - weidly appropriate IMO!)

LOL! I think my 2 fave lines are "What started out as Hogwarts is now Lord of the Flies" and "What the effing crap... that angel guy just felt me up." HAHAHAHA

Okay, first of all, I needed a laugh this morning so this DEFINITELY fit the bill. Thank you!

Second of all, what in holy hell were the originals makers of this video smoking? Ninjas? Fencing? Zombie Choir? It's like somebody threw up awesome all over the video.

My favorite lines are either the Hogwarts line, or "staring at the swim team gets you killed by a gang of dancing ninja men who know how to twirl", just for the sheer randomness of the twirling ninja men.

Hilarious!

Yay! I'm glad you hadn't seen this yet--it's so great, right? I think I found it through a Yahoo! article or something like that.

My favorite lines are probably the ones from the back-up singers, i.e "Stupid chair", "Mullet with Headlights", "Hairless chests", etc, etc. I also love "Blind, possessed choir boys" and the whole bit about having to pee/the preppies toasting.

And the one Nikki mentioned: "What the effing crap--that angel guy just felt me up."

I literally have this video on my iPod. =P

I agree Teebore: what WERE these directors smoking?

Okay, this stuff is addictive and you know it... I was watching this video for the second time and thought "they should totally do that for Meat Loaf's Anything for love" and obviously they did:

"Same cops from Janie's got a gun" ->lol! Also I love that it quotes Return to Oz XD I loved that film as a child.

I love this video so much. I think I've unwittingly made it required viewing for friendship.

Ian, I know how you feel. I have a list of things now that I ask upon meeting anyone new--"Do you watch Lost? You're not an Efron fan are you? How do you feel about Dr.Pepper?" and now, "You've seen the "Total Eclipse of the Heart: Literal Version', right?"

It's just the way things are.

I love this video!!! All those 80s videos never made any sense so it does make sense to make fun of them!
