If you haven't already checked this out, you must. This "deleted scene" from the season 1 finale was finally revealed at Comic-Con this past week, as two characters revealed in a much later season debate how the survivors are going to react when they finally realize why they were brought to the island (and many of the fan reactions to the finale are alluded to). Brilliant and hilarious. SERIOUSLY, when are we going to give these two a spin-off show?!

Ha, ha. this is cool, although even though I do support how it all ended, i do believe a few real scenes like this would have helped Across the Sea a lot.
Having Jacob and Barry react or discuss things the 815s are going through would have made the story tighter.
Oh my God, hilarious!
Is this what Darlton were "arguing" about revealing over Twitter the past few days?
I love the reference to The Tick at the end (those last few seconds).
This is wonderful, thanks Nikki.
I forget - was the scene between Jack and Locke in series 1 ? is it just the other bits that were added ?
I'm not sure whether scenes like this would have helped along the way - its only with hindsight that we can look back and appreciate them (in my book)
And are they really saying his name was Barry ?! - he never looked like a Barry to me.
But then I'm not sure what he looked like - for some odd reason Derek comes to mind?
What do others of you think his name should be ? (or do we know ? - this is sad, I have forgotten !!!)
I loved this because the two actors just sold it.
The whole thing's a joke, not cannon. I think they actually have the character named on a script somewhere as Samuel. At least that was Jacob's brother's name. I don't think the MIB ever had a name.
This is awesome - outstanding! I'm watching season one again and loving it - The writers from LOST continue to impress, even in this self-mocking clip - Jacob and MIB really sold it too! Nothing like it...
Ha! I love it.
Barry. Awesome.
@ LITTLE MO:
Don't worry, Barry's not his real canon name. As Randy Crane pointed out, the writers are referencing one of my all-time favouritest things EVER: The Tick.
On the Tick cartoon, there is a superhero whose real name is Barry...and he gets REEEEEEALLY mad whenever anyone calls him that.
So, so funny.
And yet, these auditions for Peter Bishop had me laughing harder: http://tinyurl.com/4xzju4e
WV: reemorf - deep and painful feelings of regret, at the end of which you change into a bird or something
Loved it! Thanks, Nikki.
I don't like the name Barry either but it being a reference to something else is in keeping with LOST. Not sure I like so much Jacob seeming to be such a nerdy numbskull.
No, don't worry, Barry's totally a joke (and a Tick reference, as QM pointed out). Nestor Carbonell starred on The Tick, and I have no doubt it's a fave show of Darlton's. I actually just bought the (short) series on DVD a few weeks ago so I could rewatch it. ;)
The only Barry on the show was Desmond, when he went to Oxford and had those Barry Gibb sunglasses and hair. ;)
@ NIKKI: Wasn't the Tick live-action series good?! It looks like it's gonna be some cheesy dreck, but the show was actually very funny. To me, it was Seinfeld with superheroes.
And yes, Nestor Carbonell as "Batmanuel" steals the show every time! :)
Thank you @yourblindspot. LOVED that so much. Joshua Jackson at the end was priceless.
@littlemo - yes that was from the season 1 finale. I love these guys.
He'll always be Barry to me. :)
"Maybe they'll give me the benefit of the doubt, once they start jumping around in time."
Teehee. Funny cuz its true.
"IT'S A METAPHOR!!"
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! *wipes eyes
LOVED IT.......what great memories of the FINEST series (and writing) ever on television....
Well, my mouth was open until I, DUH!, figured out it wasn't real! I loved it tho! It made my day! Thanx for that!!!
BARRY! So THAT'S Brother's name! Finally! Man, couldn't they have come up with a more masculine name! MWAHAHAHA! Yeah, I know it wasn't really his name. It still does bug me that he never had any other name than Brother.
Still upset that Kookoo for cocoa puffs mama wasn't up for an emmy! Allison Janney was amazing in that part! She should have won SOME kind of an award just for showing up with no makeup! Now, THAT is courage!
Really great to see that! Thanx, Nikki!
Namaste!
