Mostly, I write about television, and with this being the home of the Great Buffy Rewatch of 2011, a lot of that television is Joss Whedon-related (when it's not about Lost). Stick around if you love Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Sherlock, Lost, BtVS, Doctor Who, or anything on HBO.

I have a comment about 'Check out 00Xander' - but I'll have to save it for the comic book discussion.
Where did the talisman come from? I don't think we ever find out.
Willow and Anya had a lot of chemistry. Way more than Willow and Kennedy. That would have been an interesting development, and I would have loved to see Xander's reaction.
Verification word 'lattabot'. I guess the Buffybot ended up working at the Expresso Pump.
Colleen: I agree, I think the talisman is one of the great overlooked mysteries on Buffy. A bit of a convenient deus ex machina that they really could have done something with, given the history of that particular spot in Sunnydale and all. ;)
Xander gets all squeamish about Buffy gouging Gnarl's eyes out with her thumbs.
Another rewatching blogger (I'm afraid I've forgotten who!) suggested the talisman might have been placed by Robin Wood, since Spike says it was intended for "revenge" and that is Wood's primary motive...
Colleen: I picked up on the chemistry between Willow and Anya, too, and I agree. I would have much preferred that storyline to what we got. They could have played on an idea that Anya had given a relationship with a man one last try with Xander, but after the way he treated her, she had given up. It would have been funny, yet I think they might have been able to develop something deep between the two characters.
Though there is nothing to show this idea that I am aware of; I think that perhaps Spike brought the talisman to the school. We know later he is controlled by the First. He was hiding in the basement where the talisman and its spirits lured Buffy and the spirits dint bother him.
