The Lost Curse Continues...
And now, Daniel Dae Kim has been arrested for DUI. What is WITH that show?! The article makes a valid point, something my husband and I wonder aloud every time a celebrity is caught with a DUI -- can't they afford drivers? Or a cab? What is WRONG with them? Keifer Sutherland would rather have his mug on the front of the papers after trying to kill several people with his car than pay a guy to sit in the car all night and wait for him. And apparently it's in the contracts of the Lost cast to NEVER give your keys away if you're a little tipsy. I think this cast needs a serious seminar on what to do when you've been drinking and need to get home. Either that or complete prohibition. Man...

I'm afraid. Please, Jin, don't die.
And please, Matthew Fox, don't drink!

it seems like it has to do with Hawaii, either in that perhaps the actors think of it only as a vacation spot, and don't think the laws are to be taken seriously...OR perhaps the police (maybe trying to dispel that notion) are trying to make examples of them by being extra diligent with them.

No idea what it's like in Hawaii but in L.A. the culture is *so* completely organized around driving & cars. There are valets at bars -- you drive to the bar, drink, and drive home. It's INSANITY. It's a serious pain in the ass to get a cab so tipsy/drunk people make the *wrong* call all the time and drive. It's nothing like Toronto or New York where having a car is the pain in the ass. You'd think by now they would have figured out a new system.

Good actor doesn't necessarily mean good sense. Apparently the cast of Lost a. drinks too much b. really thinks they are on a deserted island.

When does the baby get arrested for DUI?

The curse may continue in a new way, if speculation about the effect of a writer's strike is true. Lost is the show that seems to have most speculation about not surviving the strike, since it starts so late in the season. Other shows are stockpiling scripts.

Which might not help if the directors and actors go on strike soon too. I cringe at the thought of a whole schedule of reality shows.

I guess Jin wasn't having a very cluckity cluck cluck day! I hope he doesn't go the way of Ana Lucia and Libby!
