Will the Real Sarah Palin Please Stand Up?

Brilliant. Sarah Palin might win more votes through this appearance than anything else she's done on the campaign trail. (Let's hope that doesn't happen.)

"Honestly, not enough people know that show." Oh, snap!

Funny stuff, and smart politics to show that she can be a good sport.

Nah, I was disappointed. I was hoping she would play Tina Fey.

I just can't watch it. She makes me physically ill with anger and disgust.

I'm a little disturbed by a possible president who seems to get turned on by meeting Marky Mark.

Has she no standards?

She was essentially a live prop. But with her there, at least the cast was finally funnier than somebody.

Corey: You should definitely watch it. 80% of the sketch is actually Tina Fey or Alec Baldwin (it could have been a scene in 30 Rock) and as Jeremy says, she's pretty much just a prop. Alec Baldwin gets in the dig that Sarah Palin is the worst thing to happen to American politics and she stands for everything he's against... while he's standing right next to her. :) It's pretty awesome.

Megan: I SO thought she was going to do a Tina Fey impression... but I guess Palin's not an actor, and knows her limits.

Oh wait... did I just say Palin knows her limits? I need to be slapped.

redeem: Did you see the original Andy Samberg Mark Wahlberg sendup? It's actually kinda funny... And now way funnier.

If you're not American, please stick to TV shows and stay out of our election.

Anonymous: If you want to be heard, please grow a spine and post under your real name.

Last time I checked, Saturday Night Live WAS television. I'm not commenting on the campaigning or their commercials or their policies, I'm talking about a sketch on a freakin' comedy show. Lighten up.

It's my blog and I'll post what I want to (post what I want to, post what I want to.... you would post too if it happened to you!)

By the way, this is the LEAST offensive Palin thing I've ever posted! I actually said the woman was funny, for god's sake. If you want to complain about me, go back to one of my previous posts and bitch there. You can join the leagues of other anonymous posters who hide behind their keyboards and type vitriol. It'll be fun!

Also, anonymous, we might not be able to vote in "your" election, but its outcome has massive reprecussions for us. So please understand that we have a vested interest in what happens on November 5.

Anonymous, if I were a Palin-supporting American, I wouldn't want anyone to know my identity either. However, it's rude to come onto someone's blog and try to dictate what they post.

Ha ha, Anonymous! That was a really good one! "If you're not American, stay out of our election." I would have to say, it's the most cutting, scathing thing I've ever read on this blog. You know what I think? I think there's a way to keep these Canadians and non-Americans out of our election! Let's cut off the internet! Let's close off the borders! Let's make sure that all our television stations don't broadcast anywhere outside America! Let's send all those goddamn socialist commie non-American Canadian actors back to where they came from! Let's make sure that anyone who says anything critical of the way we run our country shuts up!

Oh. Wait. That would make you Cuba.

Before you go telling us not to talk about the U.S. election and telling us keep out of American politics, why don't you first pull the thumb out of the ass of the last U.S. President you elected and tell him to get American troops out of every goddamn country your country has interfered with and tried to steal from under all sorts of pretences. Tell your stupid government of the last 8 years who have stuck their noses in every other country's business and UNILATERALLY declared war against another country despite having no concrete evidence, and against protests by other countries in the UN -- tell them to keep their noses out of our business, tell them to stop robbing us of our natural resources like oil, water, and wood (hello? did you know how much of your resources come from Canada?), and STAY AWAY from our borders.

THEN we'll stop talking about your stupid election, you ignorant, cowardly person. And stay away from this blog because it's Canadian, and this Canadian blogger likes smart Americans (who vote with their intelligence) not stupid ones (who vote because they're ignorant shits who are scared of what they don't know.)
