Ever since Patrick and his brother Ryan sent chills down our spine with their epic Lost trailer in December (still my favourite of all of the ones I've seen), I've been waiting for them to do another one. And about an hour ago, Patrick sent me the latest one. He'd told me in advance, when they were still working on it, that this one would be Locke-centric, and they came through. In this one, we see Locke's journey, but not just how it's affected him: how it's affected everyone. You think the first one gave you goosebumps? Check out this one.

Watch it. You'll feel goosebumps, and you'll get a sense that you're actually watching Lost in chronological order. AND he creates a seamless link with the Man in Black and Locke. All in three minutes. Freakin' brilliant. Please make more, Patrick!!! Beautiful, beautiful job.
This new promo from Spain has been circulating since yesterday, and this is my first chance I've had to post it. While there's no new footage from S6, someone who understands Lost completely has put it together, placing each of the characters on a chessboard and moving them through the game. It's brilliant. Now why can't we get promos like these here?!
I don't know if anyone's seen the new lame commercial for Lost, where we see Jack about to drop the bomb, and then he does, and then it says, "Lost... coming in 2010." Wow. Thanks for telling me WHAT I ALREADY KNOW. Ugh. Anyway, I think THIS should be the commercial. Yes, it's got stuff we've all seen, but it's still wicked, and suggests things could be rewound and tried again. The clock ticking at the end sent chills down my spine.
I've been posting a lot of Season 6 prep videos, and some have made us cry, while others have made us... cry. :) The work being done by campetin and theblackbox is awesome, and I can't thank them enough for tiding us over during the hiatus.
But this one (by campetin) will make you cheer, jump up and down, and scream, "Yippie-ki-yay, motherlover!!" (I'm trying to keep this a family blog here...) ;)

So, today I held a copy of my new Finding Lost: Season 5 book in my hands, and it was very exciting! And then theblackbox sent me his latest prep video. Awesome day for me as a Lost fan?? Yes, indeed! Enjoy.
Back when theblackbox first sent me his preparation videos, I asked him if he'd do a montage of Desmond. He just sent me this video, and while it's not exactly the montage I was looking for (shirtless, romantic, hair flowing in the ocean breezes), it's actually way more appropriate for the Lost rewatch that we're doing right now. If you haven't been checking it out, we're just starting season 2, and you should come on over and read the discussion (even if you're not rewatching, just reading the comments will jog your memory). In the meantime, here, in chronological order, is what Desmond was put through in the Swan station. Thank you, blackbox! (Man, you're a busy guy this week!!)
This is from a different poster, the one who did "Origins" (the video about the survivors as children) and this one is just as beautiful as that one. Especially because he uses a song from one of my all-time favourite CDs, which always brings a smile to my face when I hear it. This is glorious... and might actually bring a tear to your eye, even though it's meant to be happy. Because happiness is so fleeting on the island...
Prepare yourself before watching this one. It's glorious and devastating. Wow... I can't believe how much death has been on this show. I welled up a couple of times, but I won't say where. I'll let you watch it for yourself. Enjoy! (This is care of theblackbox once again!)
Recently my stepmom, who had been an avid viewer of Lost along with my dad, stopped watching because she thought the show was becoming too violent. I said, "Well... yeah, there's a bit of that, but it's not that bad." Here's hoping she doesn't see the following video, brought to us by theblackbox. Welcome to five seasons of guns, knives, grenades, pummeling, broken noses, and stuff getting blowed up real good.
Here's another video that a few of you have sent to me in response to the videos I've been posting of theblackbox. This is done by a different person, and is quite beautiful, showing all of the Lost characters (including our beloved and sorely missed Chah-lie) as children. When you see them so young and vulnerable, you can't help but feel even more sympathy for them than you already do. As we've seen in the early seasons, the people on the plane were adults (mostly) but even so, they're still carrying around the pain of childhood. This video brings it all together, and the very end of it actually made me tear up. Where theblackbox videos make me wish Season 6 were right around the corner, this video allows us to reflect on what we've already seen.
