I don't know how many of your reader have ever seen The Prisoner, but it is an amazing show. Lost fans: buy the DVDs!

OMG When did this happen, I was just going to buy the prisoner on DVD the other day because i'm a huge fan of Lost. This guy sounds like such a legend.

He died on Tuesday. His family said he passed away peacefully (age 80) but didn't release any further details. I'm sad, not only because he's gone, but because with the new AMC version of The Prisoner coming out soon -- a 6-part series that apparently will come up with all the answers the original series never gave (I'm still not sure that's a good thing) -- he would have gotten a whole new audience for his show, and probably would have been very much in demand again. I loved The Prisoner.

And I do think he's a legend, definitely. If Rod Serling is the godfather of cult television, McGoohan is the crazy uncle. :)

It is sad when you hear reports like this. I wonder how old I will be when I hear that Terry O Quinn has passed away, keep saving that island John Locke.
