Catching Up on Lost... in Minutes

There are a few tongue-in-cheek videos out now that are summing up the previous seasons on Lost. One of them has been going around since season 3, when it summed up the first three seasons in 8 minutes, 15 seconds, and now it's doing all 5 seasons in that same time. If you've watched it, it's a lot of fun to watch. If you know someone who hasn't watched it before... don't send them this link and think they'll be ready for season 6. ;)

"Gotta love Des."

However, if you're looking for something a little goofier, check out the Lost Untangled version of the first 5 seasons (this one in only FIVE minutes!) There were a couple of Jack moments that had me laughing out loud (despite the REALLY annoying screechy voice). Especially when the helicopter goes down and Jack's in the water going, "What HAPPENED?!" (Also, I LOVE the Ben evil giggling...)

"This island party is starting to SUCK."

My goodness, that Lost Untangled voice may just be the most annoying voiceover work I've ever heard. Not just in tone and ear pain, but in mind-numbing word emphasis choices!

Why would they inflict that upon us in an otherwise amusing video!

Sounds like the "LOST in 8:15" video took the earlier version, edited it down and then added new material. Interesting method.

I have to admit, I couldn't even finish the "LOST Untangled". That voice is just TOO annoying. Gettin' cranky in my old age!

I actually enjoyed that annoying voice - I thought it was just what was needed. I thought the parts with Jack were the funniest but Juliet at the end cracked me up,too.

I Liked the lost in 8 minutes, 15 seconds a lot… while I give it credit for getting almost everything in there, it never mentioned that young Widmore was on the island. Other than that, a great job.

The other video was okay, even though it was creechy. I liked that they had Sawyer call Jack "Bed pan" at one point. lol

creechy = screechy

"Oh god, just detonate, okay?" is the funniest part of Untangled. The only time "the voice" was tolerable. For some reason all I could think of was Pee Wee Herman. The Lost in 8 minutes cracks me up every time they make a new one. I like the emotional interjections. "Very sad" and "Woah".

Verification word- cocorp. co-corp- what the Hanso Foundation and Widmore Industries might actuallyturn out to be.

This recap actually made a little light bulb flash over my head. There's been discussion about Locke having been UnLocke since early in the series, as early as season one.

The recap reminded me that after Ben shot Locke and left him in the pit 'o bodies, Locke was moments away from suicide when Taller Ghost Walt appeared and talked him out of it.

Taller Walt was (we think) MIB, so he would not have been posing as Locke and Walt at the same time.

Or.

If Locke was already UnLocke, MIB, whatever, why would he be willing to commit suicide? It would be counterproductive.

Thoughts?

My ONE problem with the 'Lost in 8:15' video is that it cut the original in half basically and added 5 minutes of the next two seasons not in the original video.

The problem with this is that;

a) the narrator (who is now hired by ABC to do the video) doesn't give as much information on a rapid fire basis as in the previous basis. This is because alot more footage was added.

and

b) It's not even half as funny/good. Weak sauce.

I do hope it ends up on the DVD however because adding it to the Season 4 DVD was a great idea for long time watchers who just wanna fresh update in a short amount of time.

That said, I haven't seen the Lost Untangled video yet.

Holy fuck I wish I never saw that Lost Untangled video. That dude is TRYING to be as annoying as possible plus it really sucked.

Although it did bring up a question:
When are we getting more MacFarlane Lost figures? Seems doubtful now but it'd be nice to atleast get one figure for each major character(i.e. we need: Ben, Juliet, Walt/Michael, Boone, Libby, Rose/Bernard, Faraday/Miles/Charlotte/Naomi, Desmond). I'd love the rest of the previously mentioned regulars (With certain figures packaged together) but with more like the Hatch set.

I'm sure a nerd.

I don't know if you've seen this video, but this is very interesting about the greater scheme of Lost:
